You can get a second driver showing by connecting a second msp-fft430uif tool, say the UIF on one port and a dongle on the other, but that really messes with IAR and does really squirrely things like force a re-install, or wreck the dongle if you're not careful. Mine, at the moment happens to be on COM9.

I was getting a failed communication error. Perhaps IAR has modified their driver scheme, but I haven't been able to find mention driveg that in any docs.

Chronological Newest First I've searched the archives looking at past driver issues, but couldn't find anything that sounded quite like what's happening here. But in any case, it seems to be the norm with IAR to just have one.

Not one iota, having a bad day Your communications failure can be caused by a lot of things. The msp-fe430uif of these loads the driver you have seen, the second loads a serial port driver that you don't see.
